Helemaal vergeten...

Hoe gaat het met iedereen? Sorry helemaal vergeten! In mijn vorige blogpost schreef ik dat ik een apart verhaal over mijn dagje in New York ging schrijven. Zoals beloofd hier is die dan, maar wel een beetje later.
Dinsdag 22 december gingen Elizabeth en ik eindelijk naar New York City toe. Ik had er echt zo erg veel zin in. De dag daarvoor hadden we al een beetje uitgepland waar we allemaal heen wilden, zodat we de dingen konden zien die we erg graag wilde zien.
Ik stond rond 10 uur op om alles bij elkaar te rapen en in mijn rugzak te douwen en om mijzelf klaar te maken. Ondertussen had Terry al een super lekker ontbijt voor mij gemaakt. We besloten om wat later te gaan, zodat we 's avonds langer konden blijven.
We gingen met de trein vanuit Princeton Station. Het is echt een heel klein station en je koopt er ouderwets je kaartje bij een persoon ipv uit een automaat. We moesten nog even op het treinstation wachten op de trein en daarna een uurjte in de trein voordat we in the city waren. Vond het helemaal geen probleem, want ik ging bij het raam zitten zodat ik de hele reis naar buiten kon kijken. Ik vond het al heel erg vet om naar buiten te kijken en de omgeving te zien rondom the city. Ook kwamen we langs the airport, zo raar om weer na bijna 5 maanden te zien. Na een uurje waren we er dan eindelijk, vond het zo leuk om de stad in the rijden met een trein. Toen we uitstapten zijn Elizabeth en ik achter een man aangelopen, want we dachten dat hij wel een snelle uitweg wist, want het was zooo druk. En jaa hoor, voor dat we het wisten stonden we buiten bij Madison Square Garden. Het was echt mooi om te zien dat als je uit de trein stapt je opeens tussen alle gebouwen staat.
Ik kwam er ook achter in de trein dat ik mij mobiel niet meer had. Helemaal in de stress zoek ik alles door, kon hem nergens vinden! Toen heeft Elizabeth Terry gebeld of ze misschien het treinstation wilde bellen en ik een hele beschrijving gegeven van hoe mijn telefoon eruit ziet, thank god! Mijn telefoon lag nog op het treinstation en Terry had hem opgehaald.
Als eerste liepen we binnen bij Macy's. Alles was versierd en ze hadden een gaint mailbox voor santa claus waar je mail aan hem kon schrijven, ik dat natuurlijk ook gedaan. En omg de etalages in New York met kerst zijn echt WAUW. Ze doen echt heel erg hun best om alles ervan te maken. Macy's had als thema Snoopy, waarbij ze elk raam versierd hadden met bewegende mensen, dingen en muziek.
Ook heb ik de lekerste cupcake ooit op, zoals je kan verwachten van Amerika was die ook ERG groot, ging ik op de foto met de kerstman, hebben we gegeten bij het Hard Rock Cafe, liepen we over Times Square, zagen we een lichtshow bij Zaxby 5 ave, stond ik op de top van het Empire State Building, liepen we door Grand Central Station en natuurlijk alle super drukke, maar ook supere toffe straten in New York met alles erop en der aan. Precies zoals je verwacht het te zijn.
The Empire State Building was echt super vet. Ik had met de Travel Active groep al op the Rockefeller center gestaan toen de zon onderging maar nu was alles donker en zag je alle lichten in de stad. Het was echt super vet! Ik vind eigenlijk alles fantastisch.
' s Avonds rond half 11 namen we pas de trein terug tussen alle ice hockeyfans en vanaf Princeton station werden we weer opgehaald door Kevin en rond 12 waren we thuis na een super leuke en vette dag.
Nu ik dit verhaal geschreven heb, kom ik er ook achter dat ik alweer 6 maanden in Amerika ben. De tijd gaat echt absurd snel, helaas. Volgende week zijn er alweer try outs voor lacrosse waar ik bijna het hele jaar mee bezig ben geweest en na die week begint het seizoen dan eindelijk. Onze eerste game is op 16 maart (MIJN VERJAARDAG) en kan echt niet wachten! Ik ga waarschijnelijk verdedeging spelen en heb echt een top team, dus dit seizoen zal waarschijnelijk erg leuk worden! Ons goal: Going to states!
Ik begin het seizoen wel al met een blessure, heb namelijk shin splints. Er zijn geen medicijnen voor, de enige optie is niet meer rennen maar dat is al geen optie voor mij. Ik weet dat ik naar de sport dokter moet luisteren, maar ik ben eigenwijs.
Nog een x sorry dat het ietsje later is dan dat ik dacht, maar ik hoop dat jullie het leuk vonden om te lezen!

En weer een ervaring rijker! Wat geweldig dat je mobiel gewoon er nog is? Dat kan niet in Nederland hoor, ben je hem echt kwijt. Mooi Anne op naar je volgend verhaal xxxx

Hallo lieverd wat een super leuk verhaal zoals jij schrijft is er maar een dit is zo als jij bent en wat een geluk dat je mobiel gewoon op het trein station lag eerlijke mensen bestaan gelukkig nog 6 maanden al in Amerika waar blijft de tijd nog 4 maanden om te genieten van deze geweldige ervaring ik hoop dat je niet veel pijn zal hebben aan je benen als je met de lactose begint luisteren naar de dokter is niet cool maar wees wel zuinig op jezelf heel veel plezier met alles wat je nog gaat meemaken love you ????????
Mooi levensverhaal weer Anne ???? geniet nog van de laatste 4 maanden, voor je het weet zijn ze al voorbij en deze tijd komt niet meer terug. Wij kunnen niet wachten jou weer te zien....xxx

Wat een geweldig verhaal weer, en wat heb je in een korte tijd weer veel gezien en gedaan. En wat een mazzel dat je mobiel er nog lag, in Amsterdam was hij vast al weg geweest..........
